On behalf of the Northwest Ohio Festival Soccer Committee we would like to invite your club/team to participate in the 29th Annual Northwest Ohio Festival Soccer Tournament to be held October 24 & 25, 2009 and hosted at Sylvania’s Pacesetter Park.  If your team has participated in prior years welcome back and if you are a new team I hope that we provide one of your best soccer experiences. 

 

Proceeds from the Festival Tournament every year provide Scholarships for high school seniors. The Robert Kumpe Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of the charter member of the tournament who was actively involved a number of years until his untimely death. During the past six years, with the help of advertisers such as you, we have distributed over $65,000 in scholarship awards.

 

Our tournament is designed for all levels of teams; boys and girls divisions will include U9 thru U15 Youth Teams.  Each participating team will play a minimum of three games.  Awards will be given for 1^st and 2^nd place teams in U-10 thru U15, (U9’s are participation only).  We will be following the OYSAN recommended implementation of the USYSA small-sided format:  6v6 for U9’s and U10’s; 8v8 for U11’s and U12’s; and 11v11 for U13’s thru U15’s.  We have drawn teams from Canada, Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania in the past.
